About the MMBL
The Mississauga Men's Baseball League (MMBL) was founded in 1987 and has been playing ball in Mississauga ever since. Our recreational league currently includes 14 teams split across A, B, and C divisions, playing out of three parks: Q-Park, Lisgar Park, and Fleetwood Park.
We're a 21-and-over league playing hardball right here in central Mississauga. Games run throughout the week and on weekends, with
most teams playing about two games per week. Weekday games start at 7:15pm, and weekend games are slotted at 10am, 1pm, 4pm, and 7pm. All games are seven innings, capped at two hours and twenty minutes, and played exclusively with wooden bats. Pitchers are limited to four innings or twelve consecutive outs per game, and we don't permit carded players or anyone coming from Inter-County ball. Registration varies by team based on roster size and games played that season, and may or may not include a full uniform depending on how each team operates.
Physical contact has no place in the MMBL. We have zero tolerance for contact, poor sportsmanship, and profanity on the field, and violations result in automatic suspensions and fines. We follow standard baseball league rules, supplemented by our own MMBL constitution where our rules take precedence. Teams are guaranteed approximately 20-22 games per season.
Beyond our 21+ league, we also field an MMBL travel team that competes in the 33+ Vintage League tournaments whenever possible.
At the end of the day, it's about having a good time playing the game we love and respecting our peers and officials. Good luck out there!
